Bummer!

On Monday, I "kindly" helped a dude to jump-start his car. Well, not exactly kind. You see, I rejected him initially cos I wouldn't know what was his "main" intention. He just came up to me and said:

Man: Excuse me, can you help me to jump-start my car?
Me: Errr... I'm rushing.
Man: It would only be for a while.
Me: Errr... But I'm really in a rush.
Man: My car is only nearby.
Me: Errr..........
Man: Oh, don't worry, nothing fishy.
Me: Errr... Oh, okay.

I could only "errrr" my way through the conversation. Basically, I wasn't convinced that he was for real, until he said "nothing fishy". Perhaps, I shouldn't be too convinced with people's words, though they tried to be convincing.

So, after helping him out... The following day, my car's battery became the VICTIM instead!! Grrr @_@ And this morning, it got worse!! My car's battery finally GAVE UP!! Arghhh... I don't think it's entirely the dude's fault. Perhaps, it's just the battery's life span is up. Anyways, it still pissed me off.

Called cousin bro, as he has the jump-start cable. Then, drove my car to the workshop to get the battery changed. It cost me RM190 for a new maintenance-free battery.
PUMA Calcium Battery?? Will it make my car bone stronger?? *grins*

I hope my car will be able to bear with me till Friday. It's time for her to be "serviced" ^^

Dream, Dream, Dream

It happened about 4-5 days ago, when I dreamed about my nanny, whom passed away couple of weeks ago.

It was her normal routine to cycle to my grandma's house (they were best friends), on her bicycle with an umbrella for shelter. I was there, watching her stepping in.

After a short stay, nanny then left grandma's house. While she was half way cycling, I noticed that she forgotten to bring her umbrella along. I shouted for her name and ran towards her, passing her the umbrella. I even managed to "touch" her before she leaves... Just before she disappeared, I called nanny's name again but she never turn back and look at me...
It's my very first time to have such experience, dreaming of a loved one, who had just passed away =/ She's definitely close to my heart. I still couldn't accept the fact that she's no longer around and I've to permanently stop visiting the place that I used to grow up... Sighhh... *Life*

Bubba Gump Shrimp @ The Curve

This is quite an out-of-date post but hey, it's still an entry =)

Let's see... Yea, went to Bubba Gump Shrimp located in The Curve for dinner with Mei Ling. We thought, hey, it's something that we've yet to try. I mean we always have those kinda non-fancy-type-of-food, I guess? Though I do read Yiling's blog, which consists entries on food!! Good enough to be my food directory =)

Ok, you can't miss out the restaurant if you're in The Curve. Well... I did, though @_@ Never knew it existed until sis and I saw people eating this whole big bucket if shrimps!!! Alright, here's the restaurant ;p
Hugeee enough for you NOT to miss it (photo grabbed from http://masak-masak.blogspot.com)
Then, there's the inside of the restaurant. It's cosy and the lights are dim enough, making it comfortable:
One of the inside decorations
For additional napkin and sauce (photo grabbed from http://food-4-thot.blogspot.com)
This is my partner for the night =)One thing about Bubba Gump Shrimp is that you don't have to look around, sticking your neck out to call for the waiter. This is one of the MOST useful tool that you can use:
Waiters will stop by your dining table and say "Stop Forrest Stop, how may I help you?". Cool? =)
Once you're done, just flip this sign over for them to continue their routine =)
Here are our orders of the night:
Shrimper's Heaven. The fries are awesome, I tell ya (RM44.90)
Shrimper's Net Catch, mixture of garlic spice and secret recipe cajun spice (I think it's about RM24.90 for 1/2 pound. Not sure how much of shrimp is that?!)
I forgotten to snap the photo of the drinks and dessert. Anyways, I ordered Lotsa Lava and Mei Ling ordered some Blueberry smoothies or something, yogurty taste. Well, I'd say both drinks sucks! @_@ Kinda oredered wrongly. First timers, forgiven la ;p The dessert that we had was Chocolate Cookie Sundae. It's really nice, taste good but both of us were just too stuffed up. So... We only cleared the vanilla ice cream and part of the cookie, haha.

The bill came up to RM121.00, which I think it's worth it pricey - Considering the amount of shrimpsss that we had, plus the drinks and dessert... And of course, taxes (shit).

Overall, I'd say - GOOD if you'll like to try something new. The serving is rather fast because MOST of the menu are made outta shrimps! LOL. Try it and lemme know =)

Take A Break

Marriage (Part I )
Typical macho man married typical good-looking lady, and after the wedding, he laid down the following rules:
"I'll be home when I want, if I want and at what time I want -- and I don't expect any hassle from you.
I expect a great dinner to be on the table unless I tell you that I won't be home for dinner.
I'll go hunting, fishing, boozing, and card-playing when I want with my old buddies, and don't you give me a hard time about it.
Those are my rules. Any comments?"

His new bride said:
"No, that's fine with me. Just understand that there will be sex here at seven o'clock every night... Whether you're here or not."

(DARN SHE'S GOOD!)
**********************************************************************************
Marriage (Part II)
Husband and wife had a bitter quarrel on the day of their 40th wedding anniversary!

The husband yells, "When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads, 'Here Lies My Wife -- Cold As Ever'!"

"Yeah?" she replies. "When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads, 'Here Lies My Husband -- Stiff At Last'!"

(HE ASKED FOR IT!)
**********************************************************************************
Marriage (Part III)
Husband and his wife are having a fight at the breakfast table. Husband gets up in a rage and says, "And you are no good in bed either," and storms out of the house.

After some time he realizes he was nasty and decides to make amends and rings her up. She comes to the phone after many rings, and the irritated husband says, "What took you so long to answer to the phone?"

She says, "I was in bed."

"In bed this early, doing what?"

"Getting a second opinion!"

(YEP, HE HAD THAT COMING, TOO!)
**********************************************************************************
Marriage (Part IV)
A man has six children and is very proud of his achievement. He is so proud of himself, that he starts calling his Wife, 'Mother of Six' in spite of her objections.

One night, they go to a party. The man decides that it is time to go home and wants to find out if his wife is ready to leave as well. He shouts at the top of his voice, "Shall we go home Mother of Six?"

His wife, irritated by her husband's lack of discretion, shouts right back, "Any time you're ready, Father of Four."

(RIGHT ON, LADY!)
**********************************************************************************
The Silent Treatment
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment.

Suddenly the man realized that the next day he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight.

Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM." He left it where he knew she would find it.

The next morning the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight.

Furious, he was about to go to see why his wife hadn't wakened him when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."

Passing of 2 Great Personnel

I'm sure everyone had joy and fun over the past week - it was a Raya week =) 5 days straight, what else more can you ask for? =)

I had my own joy too. I was able to meet up with Mei Ling for the whole week. We went for mamak, dinner, movie... Oh yea, shopping too =D

However, it was short lifted and marred by 2 separate incidents, with the same outcome:
  1. In the Philippines, they have found and retrieved the body of my cousin sis, Kathleen. Her body was finally laid to rest.
  2. On one hand, everyone's much settled as her body is recovered. On the other, they have lost a great personnel in their life. She was 32.
  3. She was cremated on October 3rd, 2008.
  4. Here are some photos of her wake, captured from Daryl's website:
  5. Back here in Malaysia, it was by far the hardest news to accept. 23 years ago, I was under the guardian of my nanny, back then, for 6 years.
  6. She took care of and my sis and I. Throughout the 6 years, she never demanded for anything from my mom except not to stop her services.
  7. She treated my sis and I like her own grandchildren.
  8. Then, I never knew her love for us. I was only 6... Now, all the memories came back to me, telling me what a great person she was and she deserves more than what she had.
  9. On October 1st, 2008... Her body surrendered, as she drew her last breath during her afternoon sleep... She was 81.
  10. I managed to visit her last month, as I heard from my grandma (also nanny's best friend) that nanny looks ill and weak. Here are the photos taken:
  11. During her wake, I couldn't bear to see myself paying my last respect to her THAT way.
  12. I'm glad that her torture has finally come to an end and she's able to rest in peace. Seeing her for the one last time means a lot to me.
  13. She looks peaceful as her body is laid into the coffin.
  14. She'll always be the greatest person I've ever known... ='(
  15. Sis and myself were no strangers at nanny's wake. Friends and relatives knew who we were.
  16. Grandma was distraught and saddened by the news. However, she was unable to attend to the wake and funeral, as she was having an ongoing prayers.
  17. Tears rolling down my cheek, as they nail her coffin and carried it into a hearse.
  18. After the funeral, I asked myself, "Will there be anymore reason(s) for me to visit her house - the place where I grew up? Or perhaps this is the end of a chapter that I will cherish and carry it throughout my entire life?".
  19. Regardless what the answers may be, I will NEVER EVER forget what she has done for me over the years =)
  20. Another passing of a great personnel. She will ALWAYS be a part of me, as she plays an influential role in my life too.
  21. One thing for sure, I'm so sorry for feeding your dog with raw eggs, back then, Auntie Hwa =D
  22. Chin up!!
  23. I'd like to dedicate this song to sis Kathleen and Auntie Hwa - R.I.P.

Sha-la-la-la-la [x2]
You used to call me your angel
Said I was sent straight down from heaven
You'd hold me close in your arms

I loved the way you felt so strong
I never wanted you to leave
I wanted you to stay here holding me

[CHORUS:]
I miss you
I miss your smile
And I still shed a tear
Every once in a while
And even though it's different now
You're still here somehow
My heart won't let you go
And I need you to know
I miss you, sha la la la la
I miss you

You used to call me your dreamer
And now I'm living out my dream
Oh how I wish you could see
Everything that's happening for me
I'm thinking back on the past
It's true that time is flying by too fast

[CHORUS]

I know you're in a better place, yeah
But I wish that I could see your face, oh
I know you're where you need to be
Even though it's not here with me

[CHORUS x2]

(I miss you)
